caring about swearing is for fucking pussies

so elizabeth may said “fucking” at some press gala the other day and lots of people are like “oh my god.

grow up.

i don’t care if a public figure swears. everyone swears in real life. who cares if it happens at ‘professional’ moments too? i’m actually way more offended by people who engage in professional/politician double speak and avoid actually answering serious questions that matter. that’s far more dangerous than anyone saying fuck or shit.

on top of that, the press gala may swore at was supposedly a casual, fun affair. how casual and fun can it be if everyone is still expected to act like g-rated leave it to beaver characters? that would feel pretty stiff and shitty to me.

may’s speech wasn’t very funny but that’s not a crime. it was simply a minor lousy judgement on her part, and that’s as far as it goes.

everyone should shut the fuck up about this and focus on the outrageous shit that the conservatives have been doing since they got into power. like passing the dangerous, flawed bill c-51. that’s a harder soundbite for media to sell and canadians to buy but no one said politics was fun and entertaining.

elizabeth may is an honest, real politician. that’s rare. if you are familiar with her work and still don’t like her, you’re a fucking masochist.
